Reader's Empire Book Club

The book club at Los Alamos Middle School is called the Reader's Empire.  Our sponsor is Ms. Ellie Simons, the Library Media Specialist at the library.  As we read more books and have more events we will add to this page.

hi everybody this is miss ellie.  I read a good book if you like scary books.  The book is called Breathe: A Ghost Story by Cliff McNish.  It's about a haunted house just like you might expect, but here's the thing you might not expect: most of the ghosts in the story are children.  And the big evil ghost in the story is a mom.  Since I am a mom myself I kind of did not like the idea of the main "bad guy" in the story being a mom.  However....if you like stories about ghosts this one will definitely hit the spot.  Even though it is written for young adults, I myself enjoyed it as well.
